Responsible to:  Recreation Manager Responsibilities:  Responsible for all aspects of resident programs including but not limited to planning activities within parameters established by the Activity Director  Assists in decorating, setting up, facilitating, supervising and assisting residents, cleaning up, documenting, and evaluating programs  Participate in planning 1:1, small and large group activities, and special events  Evaluate new and/or modified programs according to resident needs.  Supervises community outings as planned and according to resident needs.  Complete documentation related to programming including but not limited to assessment, attendance, progress notes, care plans, and quarterly reviews as directed by the Recreation Manager.  Effectively communicate and promote all programs offered by the home i.e. create posters, advertisements, etc.  Participate in the homes Continuous Quality Improvement Program as directed.  Support and effectively utilize volunteer resources in the provision of programs.  Ensure effective communication with all residents, family members, staff and volunteers.  Work collaboratively as part of the interdisciplinary team  Support Pastoral Care Services, Palliative Care, and the activities of the Resident's Council.  Participate in departmental meetings, home specific committees, and multidisciplinary care conferences when required.  Notes any changes in residents condition and reports to Recreation Manager  Comply with all company policies, procedures, and practices.  Maintain awareness of changes within the profession and seek continual educational opportunities.  Assists with Dining Room duties as assigned.
