**Job Summary**:
Jemani Safeplace is seeking dedicated **Youth Residential Workers** to join our team supporting children and youth with **developmental disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and complex behavioral needs**. This is a hands-on, active role in a live-in care environment that requires compassion, resilience, and a commitment to youth development.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide daily care and supervision to youth in a residential setting
- Develop and implement **Individual Support Plans (ISPs)** and **Plans of Care**:

- Support youth in building life skills and managing behaviors
- Participate in recreational, educational, and community activities
- Complete documentation, incident reports, and progress notes
- Transport youth to appointments, school, and programs
- Use **UMAB-approved physical intervention techniques** when necessary
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and structured environment

**Requirements**:

- Diploma/Degree in **Child and Youth Work (CYW)**, **Developmental Services Worker (DSW)**, or **Social Service Work (SSW)**:

- Minimum **3 years experience** in residential or mental health care (preferred)
- **UMAB certification** (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid **First Aid/CPR, CPI** and crisis prevention/intervention training
- **Class G driver's license**, reliable vehicle, and $2M liability insurance
- Able to work **rotating shifts**, including evenings, overnights, and weekends
- Comfortable with **physical intervention** when necessary
- Clear **Vulnerable Sector Police Check** and **Child Welfare Screening**:

- Up-to-date immunizations and health clearance
