Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Lead Labourer/Carpenter position based in West Kelowna, BC. The successful candidate will oversee and participate in the hands-on construction and renovation tasks, ensure high-quality craftsmanship, and guide a team of workers to complete projects efficiently. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, operating tools and equipment, and ensuring workplace safety standards. The role also involves coordinating with project managers, adhering to timelines, and solving on-site challenges.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in using carpentry tools, woodworking, and building techniques
  • Experience in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Strong ability to lead and manage teams effectively
  • Knowledge of workplace safety guidelines and practices
  • Problem-solving, troubleshooting, and critical thinking skills
  • Previous experience in residential construction, renovations, or similar projects
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Physical fitness and ability to handle heavy lifting and labor-intensive tasks
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
