Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Carpenter to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry and construction projects. The Apprentice Carpenter will work under the supervision of experienced carpenters and project managers, gaining valuable skills in high-quality construction projects. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about construction and eager to develop their craft in a positive environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with framing, trim carpentry, and cabinetry installation on residential and commercial sites
- Safe and accurate use of carpentry tools and equipment
- Support blueprint reading and schematic interpretation for project execution
- Participate in concrete forming, rebar installation, siding, and wood framing tasks
- Perform heavy lifting and general labour activities
- Support plumbing, electrical work, masonry, tile laying, and fixture installation as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols on-site
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of construction estimating, schematics, and blueprint reading preferred
- Experience or familiarity with construction site operations
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments
- Strong attention to safety procedures and willingness to learn industry best practices
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions from senior staff
- Valid driver's license required
- Demonstrated interest in carpentry or construction through previous coursework or related experience
