We are looking for an experienced Shipping Supervisor to join our growing team. Fastening House specializes in providing electrical, mechanical, and general contractors with the products, tools, construction supplies and equipment they need – when they need it. Job Summary

A Shipping Supervisor has a critical part of the customer solution model. This role will be the one to ensure complete orders are shipped and delivered in a timely manner. You will oversee the value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide variety of products. The goal is to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly. Job Duties & Responsibilities

· Work with shipping and delivery staff.

· Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.

· Fill in for absent staff, or as demand increases.

· Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization of shipping/warehouse area.

· Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements.

· Work in synergy with inventory manager, receiving, and sales to ensure an accurate and efficient warehouse.

· Utilize delivery system modules and insure the completion of all driver paperwork.

· Sign off on ALL FH delivery vehicles product prior to departure from the warehouse.

· Communicate with inside/outside sales on a regular basis to ensure service commitments are being met.

· Oversee and signing off on all Large PO's which come in on FH flatbeds or Supplier delivery.

· Manage fleet & logistics information accordingly with in the warehouse.

· Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies.

· Notify manager of problems that are not resolvable.

  • Resolve all other issues at the warehouse level.
  • Accurately perform cycle counts as required.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years related experience.
  • Knowledge of warehouse, logistics and inventory best principles and practices.
  • Valid G License
  • Working knowledge of AS400, an asset, not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour
