Position Description
The Temerty Centre for Therapeutic Brain Intervention is seeking a full-time, contract (12 months) Social Worker 2 to provide psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy (PAP). In this position, you will work on several clinical trials that will assess the clinical effects of PAP and the feasibility and tolerability of psilocybin in individuals with treatment-resistant depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, body dysmorphic disorder, and other psychiatric conditions. Your primary responsibility will be to provide PAP, a form of non-directive therapy, during psilocybin dosing sessions to research participants. You will also be responsible for preparing research participants for PAP sessions and providing follow-up and de-brief therapy to participants who have completed PAP. You will attend training sessions, provide specialist assessment of a patient's suitability for PAP, and work closely with another clinician to provide PAP to research participants. Additional responsibilities include administering study assessments and standardized clinical scales to participants, such as structured interviews, self-report measures, and clinician-rated instruments, in accordance with the study protocol. You will also be responsible for the maintenance of study records during assessments and therapy sessions.

Job Requirements
The successful candidate will possess a Masters of Social Work and be a member, in good standing, with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), with a combination of three (3) years' of post-graduate psychotherapy experience working in a mental health/addiction setting. The candidate must be able to provide evidence of the OCSWSSW Checklist for competence to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy. Candidates must have experience utilizing CBT and preference will be given to those who hold certificates/certification. DBT is an asset. The candidate must also have received 3 years of entry-to-practice clinical supervision, plus 2-3 years (or hours) of supervised experience in performing the controlled act of psychotherapy for the interventions required of the role. Social Work incumbents requiring further clinical supervision to be able to perform controlled act of psychotherapy must have this formal relationship pre-arranged by the clinical program, as a condition of hire, based on capacity. . You must be eligible for an adjunct faculty appointment with the faculties of social work that have affiliation agreements with CAMH. Experience in a mental health/addiction setting is required. Experience in a multidisciplinary teamwork setting is required. Preference will be given to those who have expertise in Psilocybin-Assisted Psychotherapy (PAP). Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written communication skills, computer skills, including word-processing, electronic communication, and workload measures are essential. Bilingualism (French/English) would be an asset.
