Corporate Lawyer – Barrie

Location: Barrie, ON | In-office (primarily on-site)

Compensation: Competitive, based on experience

Talent Renew is partnering with a well-established law firm in Barrie seeking a motivated Corporate Lawyer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lawyer to work on meaningful corporate and commercial matters while contributing to the growth of a supportive office environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will advise clients on a range of corporate and commercial matters including incorporations, corporate reorganizations, business structuring, private placements, financings, and mergers and acquisitions. You will draft and negotiate corporate agreements, collaborate across practice areas, and provide strategic advice to clients across industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on corporate structuring, reorganizations, and business matters

  • Lead and support transactions including mergers and acquisitions, private placements, and financings

  • Draft and negotiate a variety of corporate and commercial agreements

  • Work closely with clients across industries to meet their legal and business objectives

  • Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to deliver comprehensive legal solutions

  • Manage files independently while ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in corporate/commercial law, ideally in private practice

  • Strong connections to the Barrie community

  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage files independently and contribute effectively to a team environment

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong interpersonal, communication, and networking abilities
