We are seeking a passionate and creative Pastry Chef to join our team at our cozy, family-style Italian restaurant. The ideal candidate will bring a love for authentic Italian desserts, house made pasta, breads and other creations, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, bake, and present a variety of desserts, house made pastas and bread, and seasonal specialties.
- Develop and test new dessert recipes that complement our menu.
- Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry, [pasta and bread stations in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Manage ingredient inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to create specialties for events or menu updates.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef/Baker.
- Strong knowledge of pastries, doughs, creams, and sauces.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and a strong sense of presentation.
- Ability to work independently in a small kitchen environment.
Schedule:
Part-time or full-time; some evenings and weekends as required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.60-$25.05 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
Work Location: In person
