Program & Specialty Camps Coordinator

Role Overview:
This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all camp-wide activities, specialty programs, and initiatives that promote camper engagement and camp spirit. The Project Coordinator ensures that all programs are well-organized, safe, inclusive, and fun, while supporting staff in delivering high-quality experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Camp-Wide Activities & Programming
- Design and oversee daily and weekly camp-wide activities (e.g., games, competitions, assemblies, theme days).
- Ensure all activities are age-appropriate, engaging, and safe for all campers.
- Collaborate with cabin leaders and specialty camp staff to schedule and integrate activities across programs.
- Track camper participation and engagement, making adjustments as needed.
2. Specialty Camps Management
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of specialty camps.
- Ensure specialty programs have the appropriate materials, space, and staffing.
- Support specialty camp leaders in program delivery, troubleshooting, and creative enhancements.
- Evaluate specialty camp offerings to maintain quality and camper satisfaction.
3. Camp Spirit & Culture
- Promote a positive and inclusive camp culture, fostering teamwork, respect, and enthusiasm.
- Organize and lead spirit-building events, competitions, and theme days.
- Support staff in creating a fun, energetic, and engaging environment.
- Recognize and celebrate camper and staff achievements to boost morale.
4. Staff Leadership & Support
- Lead, train, and mentor program leaders and activity staff.
- Provide guidance on activity planning, classroom management, and camper engagement strategies.
- Conduct regular check-ins and team meetings to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in resolving conflicts or issues related to campers or staff during activities.
5. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all activities comply with camp safety guidelines and licensing regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols for all programs.
- Maintain first aid knowledge and be ready to respond to emergencies as needed.
6. Administrative Duties
- Maintain schedules, activity logs, and program records.
- Track inventory and order supplies for activities and specialty programs.
- Assist in budgeting and resource planning for camp programs.
- Provide feedback and reports to Camp Director on program success and areas for improvement.

Contract length: 8 weeks
Pay: Up to $19.00 per hour
