Toronto, Ontario, Canada Shakudo Full time
Shakudo is the Operating System for the data and AI stack. We provide a fully integrated, production-ready platform that allows teams to deploy best-in-class AI and data tools — without the overhead of infrastructure management. Companies across industries use Shakudo to build and scale advanced AI, analytics, and data science workflows, faster.
Shakudo is seeking a Developer Relations Manager to lead initiatives focused on engaging our technical community, enabling contribution, building an ecosystem, and showcasing the practical power of our platform. This role is deeply technical and hands-on, sitting at the intersection of product, engineering, and the developer community, with the goal of empowering users and establishing Shakudo as a foundational technology in the data and AI space.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on builder with strong communication skills. You have a deep curiosity for AI workflows, a solid technical foundation (including infrastructure and ML concepts), and a passion for creating practical demonstrations and content that showcase deep tech capabilities and business value. You excel at learning complex systems, building real-world use cases and tutorials, and engaging directly with developers and technical practitioners.

  Responsibilities
  • Develop practical, technically deep content (use cases, tutorials, code samples, technical guides) to enable developers and data scientists to succeed with Shakudo.
  • Create engaging technical video content (e.g., deep-dive walkthroughs, live coding sessions, implementation tutorials) showcasing the advanced capabilities and integration possibilities of the Shakudo platform.
  • Partner closely with engineers to deeply understand new capabilities, infrastructure components, and translate them into actionable examples and best practices for the technical community.
  • Conduct technical deep dives and interviews with customers and community members, transforming their experiences into compelling technical case studies and implementation stories.
  • Collaborate with developers, customers, and partners to foster an ecosystem around Shakudo, potentially facilitating contributions and co-creating technical content or integrations.
  • Produce supporting technical content like blog posts detailing specific implementations, demo scripts for hands-on workshops, and technical quick-start guides.
  • Help build, nurture, and moderate Shakudo's technical community across various channels (e.g., Discord, forums, GitHub), answer technical questions, and gather feedback for the product and engineering teams.
  • Act as a credible technical voice for Shakudo at developer conferences, technical webinars, meetups, and workshops, delivering compelling demos and presentations.
  • Design and build compelling proof-of-concept applications and demonstrations showcasing Shakudo's capabilities in solving real-world data and AI problems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • Ideally 3+ years of experience in a Developer Relations, Technical Evangelism, Solutions Engineering, or a hands-on software/data engineering role, preferably at a data, AI, or developer tools company.
  • Strong hands-on familiarity with modern data and AI tooling and concepts (e.g., LLMs, RAG, AI agents, notebooks, orchestration, MLOps).
  • Solid understanding of foundational infrastructure concepts, including basic Kubernetes, cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with machine learning pipeline development and deployment. Demonstrable domain expertise in any of the following: developer community building, technical content creation (tutorials, deep dives, demos), technical enablement, AI/ML application development, or building technical partnerships/ecosystems.
  • Strong presentation skills and confidence delivering technical demonstrations, both live and recorded.
  • Exceptional technical writing and communication skills; able to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to developer and data science audiences.
  • Experience collaborating effectively with product, engineering, and marketing teams.
  • Deep curiosity for new tools, infrastructure, and the future of the data/AI stack. Self-starter with strong organizational skills — able to own and drive multiple technical initiatives simultaneously.
Why Join Shakudo? Help define the future of the AI and data stack from a foundational level. Work on a high-impact team, bridging the gap between core engineering and the technical user community. Collaborate with some of the most innovative data teams and thinkers in the space. Competitive salary and generous equity package.
Location: Preferred onsite Toronto, Canada. Open to remote candidates.
