Graphic Designer

Gino's Pizza head office is seeking a passionate and skilled graphic designer with proven experience in creating compelling designs that drive brand story and consumer connection. You will work on projects of all sizes and across all channels (print and digital) while contributing to and maintaining Gino's graphic standards and brand identity.

Your portfolio should contain high quality print and/or digital designs, and should demonstrate a strong understanding of branding, typography, photography, layout, colour palette and modern design trends.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter that takes ownership of their projects with experience in taking them from conception to production. The ideal designer can think inside and outside the box and express creativity without being tied to software but rather ideas and execution

Roles and Responsibilities

Take design from concept to finish, providing fast, and reliable turnaround within deadlines

Working on several campaigns at once, sometimes under pressure and often to tight deadlines.

Serve as the brand's primary graphic designer for the creation of all visual content such as website visuals, social media posts, advertising campaigns, and digital media requirements.

Steering creative direction of the brand and its content in collaboration with the creative team.

Maintaining website design, imagery and layouts

Re-thinking the branding to constantly remain relevant and stay ahead of artistic trends in the graphic design world.

Ensuring brand consistency throughout all marketing projects.

Present and explain creative concept; interacts with all levels of employees to answer questions and communicate changes to team

Experience with print, digital, and package design as well as project management, proofing, and archiving digital assets

Produce assets for events including booth displays, signage, pull-ups, promotional assets, marketing materials and more.

Desire to work in a collaborative environment

Able to work alone and unsupervised to achieve creative goals

Creating unique graphics for social media stories and posts

Creating and refreshing brand guides and media kits

Organize and maintain library of visuals and distribute to relevant departments.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Post-secondary degree or diploma in Graphic Design or relevant field.

1-3 years proven work experience as a Graphic Designer or similar role.

Must have a portfolio demonstrating relevant experience

Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)

Portfolio of completed design projects to show proficiency in design software and hands-on experience taking a project from concept to completion

Strong typographical and layout skills across a range of digital and print media

Strong aesthetic skills with the ability to combine colours, fonts, and layouts

Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines

Able to thrive in a detail-oriented environment

Ability to visualize and implement concepts

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational skills

Strong portfolio of previous work experience in design

Illustration and animation skills (making gifs) are a plus

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
