The Co-op/Gap Semester National HQ Missionary will join a team of dedicated missionaries in CCO's headquarters in Ottawa to support and advance the mission of CCO through administrative work.

The Co-op/Gap Semester National HQ Missionary position will provide the opportunity to work in a diverse workplace. Here at CCO's Headquarters, we create an environment where one can live out their faith while using their skills, working side by side with other missionaries for the greater glory of God. 

As part of a CCO National team, you will support our front-line mission on campus and Beyond. The Co-op/Gap Semester National HQ Missionary is expected to live out CCO's tenets, core values, policies and current standard methods and materials. Working at CCO Headquarters will give you an opportunity to see what it is like to work full-time for CCO and possibly discern a full-time call to CCO staff. CCO's workplace is like no other. During this semester's work term, you will be able to experience the 3 aspects of what it means to be a CCO missionary: Professional, Familial, and Spiritual.

This includes taking the initiative to lead CCO Catholic Faith studies, share the kerygma (through tools like the Ultimate Relationship booklet), and/or participation in the evangelization efforts of CCO, including opportunities to participate in CCO Missions.

MISSION PARTNER DEVELOPMENT (MPD)

CCO provides the funds to cover half of a Co-op/Gap semester CCO Staff member's salary. Successful candidates are responsible for raising all other necessary funds (including remaining salary needs). 

Mission Partner Development is a way all CCO Missionaries live out our Core Value of Abandonment to Divine Providence. It is a privilege and blessing to rely on God's providence. We see MPD as another avenue of reaching the world, one person at a time. The successful candidate will develop their own team of ministry partners that support them financially and prayerfully. IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • There are three possible cycles to apply to serve as a Co-op/Gap Semester National HQ Missionary. 
    • Sept.- December: Application Due: Monday, July 7th, 2025
    • January - April: Application Due: Oct. 15th, 2025
    • May-August: Application Due: Feb 15th, 2026
  • Co-op/Gap Semester National HQ Missionaries work in person at CCO's National Headquarters Office, located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
  • Co-op/Gap Semester National HQ Missionaries receive a monthly salary equivalent to the minimum wage of the province of employment and are based on a 40-hour work week. 
  • Please provide 3 references in your application (include their phone number and email). One employment reference and two character references. 
    • One must be a CCO Missionary. If you are not familiar with any, please provide a character reference from someone who can attest to your character and relationship with the Catholic Church (such as a priest or a Church leader).
    • One must be an employment reference.
    • References must not be related to you.
