Mortgage Enforcement Lawyer
We're working with a well-established GTA firm looking to add a Mortgage Enforcement Lawyer to their growing real estate litigation group. The firm has deep roots, great people, and a strong roster of lender clients who rely on them for timely, effective enforcement work.
What You'll Work On
You'll take the lead on files involving:
- Power of sale proceedings and foreclosure actions
- Commercial and residential mortgage enforcement
- Title disputes and priority issues
- Recovery strategies, including judgment enforcement
- Real estate litigation related to secured lending
- Advising lenders and mortgage servicers on risk, strategy, and compliance
What You Bring
- 3+ years of litigation or real estate law experience, with some exposure to secured lending or enforcement
- Comfort navigating the Courts of Justice Act, Land Titles Act, and Rules of Civil Procedure
- Strong drafting skills, good judgment, and a solutions-first mindset
- The ability to manage files independently while collaborating with a supportive team
