Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to evaluate their physical condition and movement capabilities.
  • Develop personalized rehabilitation programs tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Provide education and support to patients regarding their treatment plans and recovery processes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatment interventions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
  • Uphold organizational standards for patient safety and quality care within the clinic environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or related field; relevant certifications preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate patient conditions accurately.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; bilingualism is a plus.
  • Proven customer service experience, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple patients and documentation efficiently.
  • Experience in patient care within a clinical setting is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

You would be expects to:

  • Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist
  • Design, implement and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning and/or work hardening programs
  • Perform reassessment of client progress through functional testing
  • Record functional and subjective findings in client charts on a regular basis
  • Complete ICBC reports
  • Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals

Qualifications:

  • Registration with BC Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK)
  • Current liability insurance
  • Experience working in Rehab setting or as a personal trainer
  • Excellent communication skills
