St. Jude's is looking for motivated , dependable and compassionate care aides to join our care team. Under the direction of Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse, this position assists residents with activities of daily living which meet the needs and interest of the residents.

We are looking for applicants that are willing to work all shifts. Must have a valid BC care aide registry number and be in good health. Applications without a valid BC care aide registry number will not be considered.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:

Under the direction of Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse, this position assists residents with activities of daily living which meet the needs and interest of the residents.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

× Grade 10 plus graduation from a recognized program in Long Term Care Aide or Resident Care Attendant, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

× In good standing with the BC Care Aide Registry

× Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

× Ability to deal effectively with others

× Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position

× Ability to organize work

× Ability to operate related equipment
