We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated In-Person Math and English Tutor to support and empower students from Grades 1 to 7 to achieve academic success. The ideal candidate will have a familiarity with the British Columbia curriculum for those ages. This role requires someone passionate about education, skilled in breaking down complex topics, and committed to helping students reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-person tutoring sessions for Elementary School Students from Grades 1 to 7.
  • Tailor lesson plans and explanations to align with the BC curriculum.
  • Assist students in understanding key concepts and building their skills.
  • Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment to boost student confidence and performance.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of the BC Math and English curriculum.
  • Previous experience tutoring elementary school students is preferred.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt teaching strategies to individual learning styles.
  • Patient, reliable, punctual, and professional.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
