Staff Accountant - MUST HAVE PUBLIC PRACTICE EXPERIENCE

Peter Wu & Associates Ltd. is a boutique accounting and tax firm specialized in supporting small and medium-sized business owners with their corporate and personal accounting and tax needs. We have an amazing opportunity to work with a great team.

We want the ideal candidate to grow with our business with a full-time position available within our practice for an immediate start.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of corporate and personal tax clients, and will assist in their accounting, tax, payroll, and related matters. Our clients span healthcare, real estate, professional services, and technology sectors.

Mandatory soft skills required: effective communication, accountability, and strong desire to help others.

Core responsibilities and skill requirements:

  • Corporate year-end file (non-audit) preparation

  • T2 corporate tax return

  • T4, T4A, and T5 preparation

  • Quickbooks Online

  • File review and file management

  • Client relationship management

  • CRA support

  • Bookkeeping, payroll, GST, PST, ROE, PIER review, EHT, and WCB filing

T1 personal tax return

Requirements:

  • Must have minimum 1+ years public practice experience (Canada) that includes working on client engagements that include Compilation Engagements, bookkeeping, T2 Corporate Tax, and T1 Personal Tax

  • Embraces technology, including cloud-based accounting programs, paperless environment, and electronic communication

  • Quick learner, adaptable, and solid people skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
