WSP is seeking an
Intermediate Water & Wastewater Engineer
to join our Water & Wastewater group in
Edmonton or Calgary
. You'll act as a design resource on local and national water and wastewater treatment projects across municipal and industrial sectors, and have the opportunity to work on innovative effluent reuse projects.

Your Impact

  • Design and deliver innovative water and wastewater infrastructure projects that enhance community well-being and environmental stewardship.
  • Develop process flow diagrams (PFD), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), and control narratives for treatment facilities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to produce high-quality designs, reports, and cost estimates while navigating approvals.
  • Engage with clients, sub-consultants, and contractors to build strong relationships and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Support all phases of construction, from fieldwork to contract administration, gaining hands-on experience and applying industry best practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technologists, fostering technical excellence and growth within the team.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • A degree in civil, process, mechanical, or environmental engineering and eligibility for P.Eng. in Canada.
  • 7–12 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Expertise in municipal and provincial approval processes and Alberta environmental standards.
  • Proficiency in design and modelling software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, BIM, Revit, WaterCAD, InfoWater, SewerCAD, and process modelling tools like BioWin or SUMO.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver innovative solutions under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and experience managing multiple projects in fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments.

Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YK:
$77,400 – $102,500

MB & ON:
$70,600 – $97,200

NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC:
$69,900 – $92,900
