Just as 3D printing acts as an additive manufacturing technology to build up unique parts, CNC routers act as a subtractive manufacturing technology to remove material from a blank to create a finished part.
Job Summary:
The Packing and Assembly Factory Worker will play a crucial role in the production of CNC machines by assisting in the assembly and packaging processes. This position involves following detailed assembly instructions, using hand and power tools, and ensuring that all components are assembled to specifications. The worker will also be responsible for securely packaging machines for transport, prioritizing quality and safety. Attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the assembly of CNC machines based on technical instructions.
- Perform quality checks on assembled components to ensure accuracy.
- Package finished machines securely for shipment, using appropriate materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols during the assembly and packing process.
- Providing accurate counts to the Product head for inventory management.
Assets
Experience, knowledge, or understanding of the below topics are great to share with us if you have them:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred.
- Must have basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in office management or related fields are a plus.
- Ability to read and understand assembly instructions and diagrams.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
This is a in-person job at our office in Waterloo Ontario.
