What is the Opportunity?

Reporting to the Manager, Facility Rentals, the incumbent of this role will support the Facility Rentals team within the Performing Arts Division, assisting with marketing and social media duties to promote venue rentals for the Royal Conservatory of Music.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assisting the Rentals team within the Performing Arts Division to support marketing and social media needs.
  • Assisting the Administrative Coordinator, Facility Rentals with the creation of engaging content for social media platforms including Instagram and direct marketing.
  • Outreach to community and organizational partners, event planners, and event organizers across sectors to build and retain client and partner relationships.
  • Outreach to event clients to gather testimonials and event photography for future venue marketing purposes.
  • Work with photographers and videographers to collect event photos and video for marketing purposes, maintaining a database of these materials.
  • Conducting research on market trends, competitors, and customer preferences.
  • Preparing reports and analyzing social media and paid marketing performance data.
  • Performing other duties as required.


Requirements

What We're Looking For
  • 1 to 2 years of marketing and social media experience.
  • Post-secondary education at a university or college in related programs such as marketing, communications, arts administration, and/or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team-oriented with an ability to work independently in a self-directed role.
  • Strict attention to detail.
  • Capable of prioritizing effectively.
  • Passion for performing arts and live events.
  • Exceptional customer service and organizational skills and a flexible schedule based on the needs of the role, including evenings and weekends.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and best practices.
  • Knowledgeable in Adobe Suites, Canva, or any other design platforms to deliver creative content (text, image, and video).

     
Hourly Rate
  • $28.00 per hour

     
Additional Information
  • This is a part-time contract working approximately twenty-four (24) hours per week during the months of March to August 2026.
  • This is an in-person position, expected to be in-office Tuesday through Thursday (or any other alterative three workdays) during regular business hours, with occasional evenings.
  • This contract opportunity is for a new vacancy.
