About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Alarm & Home Automation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is dependable, technically skilled, and familiar with a wide range of security and smart home technologies. This role involves installation, configuration, and support of integrated systems for residential and commercial clients.
Responsibilities:
- Install and service DSC alarm systems and related security hardware
- Integrate and configure smart home systems, including Control4, URC, and RTI platforms
- Set up access control systems, cameras, and door hardware
- Design and implement reliable network configurations for connected devices
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site and remotely
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure system functionality and satisfaction
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with Alarm Systems (DSC, Honeywell & more)
- Hands-on integration experience with Control4, URC, and RTI
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (routers, switches, IP addressing)
- Understanding of access control systems and low-voltage wiring
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications (e.g., ESA, CompTIA Network+, Control4, URC or RTI training)
- Experience with camera surveillance or home theater integration
Compensation:
