Our Central Services Team at Fort Hills is looking for an experienced maintenance leader to join our team

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a diverse Maintenance Execution team to deliver planned maintenance support and agile response to the operating Execution facilities
  • Ensure the identification, preparation, and safe, efficient execution of maintenance work
  • Develop outage organization and arrange staffing plans
  • Obtain and provide all necessary field and plant information to ensure work is executed properly
  • Review workforce activities and ensure all specialty materials and/or equipment required for the work are available
  • Lead achievement of EH&S performance targets/expectations for the department
  • Ensure workers meet/exceed Suncor standards using the OEMS Manage Good and Services

Minimum Requirements:

  • Five years of combined leadership and heavy maintenance experience
  • A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Trade or technologist certificate or applicable Engineering degree will be considered
  • Strong collaboration skills that enable you to build strong, positive relationships with diverse groups
  • The ability to anticipate potential problems and check for out-of-the-ordinary conditions, as well as having a strong sense of accountability

Location and Other Key Information:

  • You will work out of our Fort Hills Mine North of Fort McMurray, Alberta
  • This position is a 7 day on 7 off rotation
  • This position is safety sensitive
  • We require qualified and safety-focused employees for business-critical roles that maintain our commitment to operational excellence and reliable operations
