Our goal is to revolutionize coaching in sports - eSports and the real world - by leveraging the latest in data and AI, making coaching affordable and accessible to every child, hobbyist, and athlete. Things you'll do

  • Develop AI Coaching for Gamers. We're using the latest techniques in AI to deliver coaching and training to competitive gamers using video feedback, voice assistants, statistical reports, and more. You'll be working on the platform that hosts our AI
  • Build Our Core Platform. Our core platform is like a user interface for a hardcore management sim game (F1 Manager, Stellaris, any Tycoon game), with instructional mini-games and on-screen overlays. Combined, they deliver the absolute best system for improving in any game
  • Own a Stake in a Fast-Growing, VC-Financed Team. We've grown 3x in the past 18 months and have big ambitions. And, everyone owns some of the company. Connect with us and we'll walk you through our plans
  • Study and Understand Games. You'll be studying games, understanding their underlying strategies and mechanics, and using this knowledge to help deliver insights to competitive gamers.
  • Play Games. Lots of playing video games (racing, Rocket League, maybe Hearthstone to start) to test your AI
  • Collaborate. We're big on collaboration. You'll partner with cross-functional engineering and product teams to help everyone understand what can be done and see how we can best deliver on what competitive gamers want.

Tech you'll use

  • Development tools for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) automation (GitHub Actions), and automated testing frameworks such as Pytest. AWS infrastructure for deploying and scaling applications.
  • Various programming languages, particularly Python and web languages (e.g. TypeScript/JavaScript). Our app is  built on Unity, C#, so it's possible you'll have the opportunity to work with some of these as well.
  • We've got a lot of different problems to solve If you want to get your hands into a ton of different technologies, is the right place for you

Things you'll need

  • 1+ years of experience in software development and/or engineering.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes, automated testing and/or AWS infrastructure.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • A keen sense for ways to improve at competitive games. We're focused on helping players level up their game, so you'll need to love digging into and picking apart the details of strategy, tactics, and mechanics of games.
  • The ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies including conversational interfaces, AI techniques, game development techniques, and more
  • Curiosity about our problem domain and an analytical approach.
  • A deep love of video games

Bonus skills you might have

  • Proficiency in web development with TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • Experience working with AI-based tools and assistive technologies (ChatGPT, GitHub Co-Pilot).

Eligibility Requirements 

  • Ability to work full-time in Newfoundland and Labrador starting January 2026.
  • Be legally entitled to work full-time in Newfoundland and Labrador.
  • Have completed (within the past two years) a minimum one-year post-secondary or skills training program at a recognized NL institution (e.g., MUN, CNA, Keyin College, Get Building, etc.).
  • Not be enrolled as a full-time student.

This position is funded through the Graduate Transition Initiative, delivered by techNL and the Department of Jobs, Growth and Rural Development.  The initiative provides support to eligible companies that hire recent graduates into software development and tech sales roles, providing meaningful early-career experience while supporting long-term growth in Newfoundland and Labrador's tech sector.
