Enaimco's mission is to give heavy industry the ability to manage and understand their assets remotely – starting with subsea, one of the world's toughest environments. Our customers run critical offshore operations daily, and they rely on us to make complex engineering data and software systems reliable, scalable, and easy to use.

We're looking for a Lead Software Developer to provide technical leadership and help scale how our development team operates as the company grows. This role exists to strengthen technical decision-making, improve delivery consistency, and support the growth and effectiveness of our developers.

You'll work closely with product, senior developers, and leadership to plan work, influence architecture, and mentor the team - while staying close enough to the technical details to make good decisions when it matters.

This is a hands-on leadership role in a startup environment. It combines technical judgment, people leadership, and ownership of outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Raise the technical bar through hands-on mentoring, code reviews, and providing direct, actionable feedback.
• Ensure your team reliably delivers on commitments by unblocking teammates, sharpening scope, and correcting course when needed.
• Directly contribute to development tasks when needed - you will balance hands-on contributions with effective coordination across your team. 
• Work with product managers and senior developers to translate product vision and customer needs into executable technical plans with clear, realistic scopes.
  
• Help provide direction to development teams by blending business goals, team perspectives, and your own technical judgment.
• Lead by example and foster a culture where developers take ownership of outcomes, quality, and continuous improvement.
  

What We're Looking For

• A leadership mindset - someone that has demonstrated they are able to lead software development teams and projects, either formally or informally.
• Proven technical skills in at least one area of modern web development (e.g. front-end, back-end, cloud/infra, CI/CD & release, AI & ML, etc.), and the desire to flex into other domains over time.
• The ability to apply a broader technical vision when making decisions.
• Comfortable balancing some hands-on technical involvement with people leadership and coordination responsibilities.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively across software, product, and engineering disciplines.
• A results-focused mindset with the confidence to surface issues, suggest improvements, and follow through on commitments.
• Someone who earns trust through sound judgment, consistency, and who maintains positive working relationships with their teammates.
• Experience with at least a few of the following technologies or tools (or equivalents): 
  • React, NodeJS, Typescript, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Azure/AWS, Terraform, Github Actions, Jenkins, NewRelic, PostHog, Sentry, Cursor, Claude Code

Bonus Points For

• Experience in a technical lead, staff engineer, or hands-on software development management role.
• Background working in startup or scale-up environments.
• Experience building or supporting B2B products, especially in engineering-heavy or industrial domains.
• Interest in mentoring and developing developers at different stages of their careers.
