Temporary position for 12 months

As a Claims Specialist - Accident Benefits, you help review claims and issue claims settlement directives. You provide settlement opinions for complex claims and help internal advisors develop their technical skills. You share ideas and help solve complex problems using your analytical skills, comprehensive knowledge of your line of business and ability to manage complexity. You serve as a subject matter expert for your unit, clients and partners. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Coach internal advisors to develop their technical skills
  • Provide policy advice, verify settlement costs and ensure compliance with claims best practices
  • Review claims and help advisors and practitioners settle them
  • Conduct research and serve as resource person, proposing solutions to conflicts and situations outside the expert's scope of authority
  • Help prepare action plans based on claims reviews
  • Verify and approve claims settlements.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
