Stratford ON NA H, Canada The Queen's Cue, Stratford, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel Full time
Description

At The Queen's Cue and Crescent Hotels & Resorts, we are a team of hospitality professionals that are deeply connected to and proud of the exceptional experiences we provide for our guests. More than that, we know our Associates are the shining stars of what we do

We understand what it takes to be a part of something great. We will encourage you to bring your true self to work every day, we will celebrate you and we will cheer you on as you shine bright in your career journey. Whether it be our health and wellness programs, best in class learning and development or our travel discounts that 'feed your inner explorer', we work hard to create and deliver on what YOU need. We are ready for you to start your journey with us where You Belong. We Care. Shine Bright.

Expected to open in Spring 2026, The Queen's Cue, Stratford, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, is seeking a highly engaged and operationally driven pre-opening Rooms Division Manager to lead Front Office and Housekeeping within a boutique, high-touch environment. This role is designed for a leader who thrives in the operation. You will take full ownership of the Rooms Division - balancing visible, hands-on leadership with accountability for performance, service standards, labour efficiency, and team engagement. With just 31 rooms, this position plays a pivotal role in shaping the guest experience and setting the service culture of the hotel. This is not an office-based role. Success in this position is driven by presence, follow-through, and the ability to lead teams while actively participating in daily operations.

We are committed to providing you with:

  • Highly competitive wages, with an expected salary range of $65K - $70K.

  • An exceptional benefit plan for eligible associates & your family members.

  • RRSP matching program for eligible associates.

  • Discounts with Crescent managed properties in North America, and Marriott Worldwide for you & your family members.

  • Free parking and complimentary onsite gym access.

  • A workplace that you can be proud of, where you are valued, trusted and supported by the team.

Does this sound like you?

As Rooms Division Manager, you are accountable for the overall performance, service culture, and standards of the Rooms Division, including Front Office, Guest Services, and Housekeeping. You serve as the Service Champion for these teams - setting the tone for guest relations, reinforcing expectations, and creating a positive, professional environment for both guests and associates.

You lead from the floor. You are visible during arrivals and departures, comfortable supporting the front desk during peak periods, and actively involved in room inspections and service recovery. You balance this hands-on presence with ownership of performance - translating hotel goals into clear team priorities and holding yourself and others accountable to them.

You champion key Rooms KPIs, including guest satisfaction, service consistency, room readiness, quality standards, and labour efficiency. You understand how to manage labour in line with business demand, track performance against budgeted targets, and use guest feedback and operational data to drive continuous improvement.

You play a key role in building the operation - recruiting, training, coaching, and developing teams who take pride in their work. Through visibility, communication, and follow-through, you create clarity, engagement, and a sense of ownership within the Rooms Division.

As part of the pre-opening leadership team, you will contribute directly to establishing systems, standards, and service rituals that define the guest experience from day one, while upholding Marriott brand expectations within a distinctly boutique, Tribute Portfolio environment. Participation in weekly Manager-on-Duty rotations is an integral part of this role.

Who we are looking for:

  • 2+ years of experience in a senior Rooms, Front Office, or Rooms Division leadership role within a hotel environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading both Front Office and Housekeeping departments.
  • A proven hands-on leadership style, with comfort working the desk, inspecting rooms, and supporting daily operations.
  • Strong understanding of Rooms-related KPIs, labour management, and service recovery.
  • Experience working with Marriott systems such as Lightspeed, MARSHA, or other Marriott platforms.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coach teams in real time.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Pre-opening experience and familiarity with Marriott or lifestyle hotel brands is considered an asset.
  • Experience in a boutique, full-service hotel environment is considered beneficial.

This position is intentionally designed for a leader who wants to own both the operation and the results. Success is measured not just by activity, but by performance — guest satisfaction, quality, efficiency, and team engagement. This is a rare opportunity to be part of the grand opening and creation of a boutique Tribute Portfolio hotel, helping shape its service culture, guest experience, and story from day one. If you take pride in leading from the floor, setting standards through action, and building something that will define a property for years to come, this role offers the chance to leave a lasting mark.

We welcome applications from people with disabilities. Accommodations are available upon request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process.
