- Support the due diligence and closing process, including managing document flow and coordinating with clients, lenders, and our clients' professional advisors.
- Identify and clearly communicate key risks, mitigants, and deal strengths to lenders while negotiating for the best possible outcome.
- Maintain working knowledge of lender underwriting parameters, credit criteria, and market trends.
- Help maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM (Hubspot) records for all client engagements under your direct involvement, ensuring key data and milestones are properly captured.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Lakepoint's financial modeling and deal execution processes.
Qualifications and Core Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of post-graduate experience in public practice accounting, commercial lending, credit analysis, or non-residential mortgage underwriting.
- CPA or other post-graduate designation is an asset, but not required.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting concepts, and business fundamentals.
- Moderate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with financial models.
- Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey financial concepts clearly and confidently.
- A practical understanding of how businesses create and manage value, beyond just the numbers.
Compensation
- Base salary:
$70,000 to $90,000 (commensurate with experience) - Revenue sharing:
