Accounting Clerk / Accounting Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Accounting Clerk / Accounting Administrative Assistant to support our day-to-day office and bookkeeping operations. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, professional with clients, and comfortable working with accounting software and common office technology. There is room to grow into a more advanced accounting role based on performance and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform basic bookkeeping and accounting support (data entry, invoice tracking, filing, and reconciliations as assigned)
  • Assist with payroll-related entries and administrative payroll tasks
  • Answer phones, greet clients, and provide professional front-line customer service
  • Book appointments, manage calendars, and follow up on client messages and requests
  • Maintain accurate and organized digital and physical records
  • Handle client information with strict confidentiality and professionalism
  • Support the team with general office administration and workflow coordination

Qualifications

  • Experience with bookkeeping/accounting tasks (level of responsibility will be commensurate with experience)
  • Strong computer literacy and working knowledge of Excel
  • Familiarity with accounting and practice management software (QuickBooks; Profile; Asset or similar) is an asset
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills
  • Ability to communicate in French or Polish is considered an asset
  • Trustworthy, ethical, and dependable with confidential information
  • Organized, detail-focused, and able to manage competing priorities
  • Team player who thrives in a family-oriented, dynamic environment
