Job Summary:

The Technology Services Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless technology operations across Elim Village. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position oversees and optimizes key technology services, including telecommunications, building access control, resident care technology, audio/visual systems, and related projects. Acting as a primary liaison between Elim Village and its diverse stakeholders, the Coordinator must consistently demonstrate professionalism and serve as a positive ambassador of the organization's mission, vision, and values.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a closely related discipline is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in IT support, AV systems, and related technical environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and adaptability to multiple platforms and systems.
  • Experience in a senior living community or high-touch customer service environment is considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

Telecommunications Support

  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain telecommunications hardware for residents and staff.
  • Administer system updates, service enhancements, and inventory tracking for telecommunications equipment.
  • Coordinate hardware setup for new resident move-ins, ensuring smooth integration.

Audio/Visual Support

  • Maintain and optimize soundboard systems and AV equipment across facilities.
  • Provide technical support for events, ensuring high-quality audio/visual experiences.
  • Train residents, volunteers, and staff on AV systems through individual and group sessions.
  • Ensure proper upkeep of AV hardware, including microphones, stands, projectors, and associated components.

IT and Technical Support

  • Respond promptly to service requests, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Manage hardware lifecycle, including installation, repair, upgrades, and maintenance for laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, cell phones, and other IT equipment.
  • Implement and support cybersecurity protocols for staff and residents.
  • Provide expert guidance on smartboard systems, video conferencing tools, and presentation technologies (e.g. Clickshare, projectors).
  • Assist with organization-wide technology initiatives, including database management and technical analysis.
  • Support resident IT needs, including troubleshooting and order coordination.
  • Oversee point-of-sale systems, ensuring accurate item setup, ticket resolution, and user training.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Consistent, timely communication with stakeholders.
  • Accurate and efficient procurement of technology resources.
  • Positive engagement and professional representation of Elim Village.

Working Conditions:

This role requires ongoing flexibility to manage daytime interruptions and work within legislative, budgetary, and time-related requirements. The Operations Administrator must be able to handle problem solving situations and make sound judgment decisions. Occasional travel and work outside standard business hours may be necessary to support programming and service delivery.
