PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Join as a Driver - Car Compound, contributing significantly to our St-Luc Auto Compound. Be part of a dedicated team ensuring smooth car compound operations and achieving outstanding results. As a Driver Car Compound you will transport materials between the compound and the train, along with safely loading and unloading railcars.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Ensure all work cards are identified to driver number
- Conduct visual inspection of assigned vehicle and ensure the vehicle is properly stocked for the day's work
- Load and unload railcars on designated tracks, and within designated parking zones
- Work with team members to unload railcars on the track
- Maintain work instruction generated by supervisor
- Work in accordance with team members to opens railcar doors and install bridge-plates between railcars
- Unchain bi-level and tri-level railcars on the track
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school Education or General Equivalency
- Valid driver's license
- Able to work outside in all-weather conditions, this job is 100 % outdoor work
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Able to sustain physical work on a daily basis
- Flexibility to work on a 24/7 basis as required

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Medical and Drug Testing
This is a safety sensitive position and a successful pre-employment medical assessment including physical, vision, hearing, and a negative company drug test is required. Post hire qualification drug testing may also be required.
