Driver-Car Compound

Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented drivers to support the efficient movement of finished vehicles between the CPKC railhead and the GCI compound. This role is essential to maintaining smooth operational flow and ensuring that each vehicle is transported with care, accuracy, and full adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely drive finished vehicles from the railhead unloading area to designated storage or processing locations within the compound.
• Assist with vehicle repositioning tasks as required to support daily load line and DPU operations.
• Follow supervisor instructions and workcards accurately, ensuring all movement is recorded through driver ID tracking.
• Perform visual inspections during vehicle handling and promptly report any damage or irregularities to the inspection team.
• Scan VIN barcodes to complete receiving and picking tasks with accuracy.
• Maintain strong situational awareness of yard traffic, designated lanes, and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistency, focus, and attention to detail.
• Availability to work shifts or weekends as operational needs require.
• Bilingual candidates will be an asset but not a necessity.
