Aramark Canada Ltd. is currently seeking outgoing Baristas to join the team at Second Cup at the Killam Library at Dalhousie University Reporting to the Supervisor, the Barista is responsible for providing legendary customer service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of the Aramark as well as the franchise.
  • Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
  • Cash handling duties, including processing customer transactions using POS, balancing float
  • Follows Second Cup operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Assists with store opening and closing.
  • Keep area clean at all times, clearing trays, cleaning counters and tables, and managing waste
  • May perform other job duties as required
Qualifications
  • 1+ years' experience working in the food and beverage industry
  • Experience working for Second Cup franchise considered an asset
  • Serve Safe and First Aid an asset
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull minimum 25 lbs
