The Religious Activities Supervisor is responsible for the design, implementation, and evolution of faith-based programming at Montana State Prison (MSP).  This role coordinates the Religious Activities Committee for all facilities and acts as a point of contact for committee requests. The incumbent will successfully relate to, and often interact with, other correctional professionals who facilitate offender change using security, work, programming, education, and spirituality. Must be highly skilled in acting as a liaison between outside agencies and internal stakeholders; skilled in researching, formulating, and evaluating content; skilled in analyzing and reconciling potentially conflicting data, operational practices, and staff input to formulate new opportunities. Works independent of direct supervision; maintains effective working relationships with administrative, professional, line staff and inmates.

QUALIFICATIONS

The knowledge, skills and abilities for this position are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to:

Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, business administration, human resources, communications, paralegal studies of a related field.

5 years Supervisory Experience.

Alternative combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Tobacco Free - The use of all tobacco products, including smokeless tobacco products and tobacco substitutes is prohibited in Department of Corrections buildings.  In secure care facilities possession of tobacco products is prohibited.
