Duties

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
  • Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to accurately execute projects
  • Perform restoration work on damaged or aged surfaces to restore them to their original condition
  • Utilize rigging and scaffolding safely for elevated or hard-to-reach areas
  • Operate hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete painting tasks with precision
  • Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment at all times during work
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met
  • Maintain a clean work environment and properly dispose of waste materials

Experience

  • Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, restoration, or industrial painting
  • Knowledge of construction processes and schematics reading is preferred
  • Hands-on experience with rigging, carpentry, caulking, and the use of hand tools and power tools
  • Strong time management skills to meet project deadlines efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients and team members
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments
  • Prior experience in customer service is a plus
