Job Summary

We are seeking a person who has a passion for food and cooking. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, in sushi preparation preferably, be dedicated to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. As a Sushi Chef/Cook

Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of sushi to be boxed and put in cold display case
  • Cooking sushi rice, prepping sauces, cutting fish, vegetables, and sushi ingredients
  • Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed during food preparation and service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food prep area, including proper storage of ingredients
  • Monitor and ordering sushi ingredients to maintain inventory
  • Provide excellent customer service

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or cooking role within the restaurant or food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and food handling techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Good knife skills
  • A passion for culinary arts with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be able to work morning shifts

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.50-$23.00 per hour
