Contract Length: Approximately 5 months
Position Overview
Craigleith Ski Club is seeking dependable and hardworking individuals to join our team as an Overnight Lodge Cleaners. This position is vital in ensuring our lodge is kept clean, safe, and ready for members and guests each day. Lodge Cleaners are also responsible for supporting event operations by resetting lodge spaces, which includes lifting and moving tables and chairs.
Because this role is primarily overnight, candidates must be comfortable working with little supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general lodge cleaning and disinfecting of public spaces, and restrooms, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and window cleaning
- Empty and dispose of waste bins throughout the lodge
- Safely use cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment
- Move, lift, and reset furniture (tables, chairs, etc.) after events
- Follow all Club health and safety policies and procedures
- Work independently during overnight shifts while meeting daily cleaning and reset requirements
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous cleaning experience an asset
- Reliable transportation required (public transit not available to the Club)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks (e.g., moving furniture, up and down stairs, long periods of standing)
- Dependable, adaptable, and able to manage changing priorities
- Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Comfortable working independently with limited supervision
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly wage: starting at $20.00 per hour
- Free skiing/snowboarding privileges
- Employee events and team camaraderie
- Casual dress for overnight shifts
Schedule
- 8-hour overnight shifts, with flexibility for additional hours as required
- Weekends and holidays required during the winter season
