The Opportunity
North Star Systems is seeking a detail-driven Financial Services Administrator to support data-driven decision making across our IoT hardware, software, and service operations. This role develops financial and operational models, builds dashboards, and provides insights that support strategy, budgeting, and performance improvement. The position also contributes to pricing analysis, product profitability, and capital planning.

Key Responsibilities
Analytics & Reporting
· Analyze operational, financial, and market data across hardware, SaaS, and service lines.
· Produce accurate monthly, and quarterly reporting dashboards.
· Monitor industry and technology trends to identify risks and opportunities.
· Forecast revenue, COGS, unit economics, churn, and recurring revenue.
· Highlight performance gaps and recommend improvements.
Modeling & Strategic Planning
· Build and maintain financial and operational models to support growth and forecasting.
· Partner with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Product to analyze pricing, margins, and product profitability.
· Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis for investment and operational decisions.
· Prepare structured assumptions and summaries for budgeting and long-term planning.
Collaboration & Communication
· Work with leaders to refine reporting requirements and address data gaps.
· Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights.
· Present findings and support business case development.
Lead & Support
· Work with Administrative team daily.
· Support and oversee general bookkeeping requirements.
· Oversee data collection, spreadsheet maintenance, and ad-hoc reporting.
· Review work for accuracy and provide constructive feedback.
· Government program initiatives
· Payroll
Experience
· Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
· 2–4 years of finance, accounting or business experience; exposure to tech, IoT, or hardware/software models is an advantage.
· Strong skills in Excel and Power BI.
· Strength in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
· Clear communication skills and the ability to simplify complex data.
· Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities.
· Experience working within a team.
