Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Apprentice Electrician at Voltus Electrical. The position is based in work locations throughout the Lower Mainland.
The Apprentice Electrician will assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across residential and commercial projects. Responsibilities include performing electrical tasks under the guidance of licensed electricians, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, maintaining job site safety, and ensuring all work complies with applicable electrical codes and standards. The ideal candidate is capable of working independently when required, while contributing effectively within a team environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum Level 2 Electrical Apprenticeship completed
- At least 2 years of hands-on field experience in residential and/or commercial electrical work
- Strong knowledge of electricity and proficiency in electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and resolve issues efficiently
- Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles and schematics
- Ability to work independently as well as under the supervision of licensed electricians
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures and electrical code compliance
- Effective communication skills and a strong team-oriented mindset
- Willingness to travel to job sites throughout the Lower Mainland
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and motivated to grow within the electrical trade
- High school diploma or equivalent required; active enrollment in an apprenticeship program is an asset
