JOB SUMMARY

Parking/Line Control Attendants are an integral part of the mountain's base operation. They are responsible for a wide variety of tasks that aid in the overall operational efficiency of the mountain and movement of guests. Parking/Line Control Attendants are adaptable and detail oriented, they do not mind working outside in all types of weather and they thrive in a constantly changing work environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Providing excellent customer service to all guests
  • Welcoming and assisting all guests
  • Pre-load and off-load of Skyride and Gondola passengers
  • Checking and scanning tickets and/or passes before boarding
  • Maintaining housekeeping standards for Grouse Mountain Base Area and Skyride/Gondola terminals as well as all surrounding grounds, buildings and washrooms
  • Other duties as required

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position reports directly to the Base Operations Supervisors, no direct supervisory responsibilities are given.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES

  • Possess excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate orally in public with a clear and audible speaking voice
  • Ability to address large groups of guests
  • Ability to react quickly, good judgement
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team

WORKING CONDITIONS

Hours of Operation are weather dependant. Due to the nature of the business, this position requires flexibility in terms of your work schedule. A variety of work schedules may include a variety of start times, including shifts on weekends and statutory holidays. Shifts require standing for long periods of time, lifting, twisting, and other forms of manual tasks.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

$18.86 to $22.06/hour
