PTW is looking for a full-time Valve Technician to join our team in FortMcMurray, AB This position is ideal for someone with solid mechanical or valve servicing experience
Job Details:
- Position:Experienced Valve Technician
- Bring your experience to service & set pressure relief valves at our FortMcMurray Valve Shop. You'll also begin testing & servicing many other types of valves for Isolation & Control applications.
- Shift:Monday to Friday
- Working hours:7:30am-4:30pm
- Overtime:Overtime opportunities may be available on an occasional basis
- Location:175 MacDonald Cres Fort McMurray AB
- At times may be required to accompany staff to area sites for short term work on-site (mob/demob to shop each day normally, travel with crew & paid travel time)
- Compensation:Competitive rates based on your experience
- Pre-Employment Conditions:Pre-access Drug and Alcohol test may be required to obtain site access
- Travel Pay:Travel expenses are not covered for this local position. Candidates must be located within commuting distance or be willing to relocate to the area
Requirements:
- Valve experience is preferred, but candidates with strong mechanical backgrounds (Instrumentation, Millwright, Machinist, etc.) will also be considered
- Able to lift up to 40lbs periodically
- Knowledge of how to properly use basic power & hand tools
- Experience working on site
- Must be reliable and dependable (i.e.: punctual and ready to work)
- A valid Class 5 driver's license is required
- CSA Steel Toe Boots
- Candidates must be located within commuting distance or be willing to relocate to the area
