Description

Wood is currently recruiting for an Junior / Intermediate Piping Designer to join our Sarnia Ontario office within the Canada Projects business unit. We are looking for a motivated, energetic individual with strong Drafting skills and knowledge in Piping Design within an EPC environment.

Our projects team has a long history of delivering some of the biggest and most complex projects in Oil & Gas along with associated pipelines and refinery infrastructure.  Wood has a strong presence in energy transition, supporting the rapidly growing decarbonization and renewables industry in Canada and across the globe.

Responsibilities
  • Create and develop 3D model using various modeling software.
  • Drafting 2D drawings with minimal supervision
  • Create GA's and Plot Plans.
  • Modeling large equipment
  • Reviewing and comment on vendor information
  • Adhere to industry codes and standards.
Qualifications
  • Engineering design and drafting technology diploma or related technical diploma or certificate.
  • 2+ years of experience in piping design and layout experience 
  • Excellent knowledge of Design Software 
  • Previously project experience in Upstream Oil Sands is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship.
