About The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a QA Automation Engineer for our west-end client. HQ'd in Kanata, this software company has several offices worldwide to serve their global client base. Reporting to the Software Engineering Manager, this person will join a growing agile team of skilled QA Engineers and Software Testers, Software Developers, AI/ML Engineers, and Product Owners in the shared mission of ensuring optimized software quality, integrity, and performance throughout the entire platform. This role will focus on exploratory testing using both automated and manual practices and will heavily involve feature testing, endurance and regression testing, integration testing, etc.

This is a permanent position with one of the region's top employers. Although this company is known for their socially-relevant product/technology and progressive culture/work-life balance, they also offer a comprehensive perks package in addition to salary. They employ a hybrid model (two days/week in-office) and thus only candidates local to Ottawa/NCR will be considered.

About You
The successful candidate will have the following:

  • B.S. degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or similar field
  • 5+ years of test automation experience developing and maintaining automated test cases with strong exposure to Test Driven Development and the entire software development lifecycle
  • Strong scripting/programming background using various languages such as C#, Javascript, Python, and various tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Postman, Playwright, Katalon, etc.
  • Strong exposure to CI/CD pipeline automation, AI/ML and data lakehouse testing, AWS and Azure cloud, system/network configuration, and tools such as Kubernetes, Helm, Databricks, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; ability to thrive autonomously as well as within a team

About the Job
