What might a typical day look like?

As an accounting technician you will be required to:

• process changes to employee files (hires, terminations, changes to terms and conditions of employment, benefits, records of employment, etc.) ;
• follow up on vacation, statutory holiday and sick leave banks;
• collaborate and participate in the year-end process (analyze discrepancies, make corrections when required) in the production of tax slips;
• produce payroll for all employees according to the established schedule and process special files, such as preventative withdrawals, work accidents, maternity leaves and disabilities.
