Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada IDS RECRUTEMENT Full time

Specialists in recruitment and dedicated talent hunters, we are experts in the sectors for which we recruit across Quebec, Eastern Canada and internationally.

Our client is a recognized leader in the construction industry and major infrastructure projects. As part of the development of large-scale structuring projects in the Halifax region, we are seeking a Civil Project Manager (M/F) to oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of all or part of a major civil engineering project.

Job description

The successful candidate will play a key role in the success of large civil projects, acting as the conductor between internal teams, external partners, and the client, while ensuring respect for deadlines, budgets, and standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Structuring and managing civil engineering projects from preparatory phases through to final delivery.
  • Planning activities, establishing schedules, and monitoring budgets and resources.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary teams involved in the execution of works (engineering, construction, subcontractors).
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, regulatory, and health and safety requirements.
  • Proactively managing risks, changes, and unforeseen events throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintaining clear and structured communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Preparing and presenting progress reports and performance indicators to relevant governance bodies.
  • Contributing to the optimization of project management practices and continuous process improvement.
Profile
  • University degree or technical diploma in civil engineering, construction or related field.
  • Experience managing civil or infrastructure projects involving multiple technical interfaces and ideally complex structures.
  • Demonstrated leadership, rigor, organizational skills, and results orientation.
  • Flexibility expected for project-related travel (weekly rotations), depending on the candidate's place of residence. Possibility of assignment to long-term projects close to project bases if located near your home.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.

Attractive package including competitive salary and comprehensive benefits. Collaborative culture, focused on innovation and technical challenges. International recruitment welcome.

Please send us your resume, LinkedIn invitation or contact details for a confidential discussion. No candidate files will be submitted to our client without prior exchange and agreement.
