We're looking for a Web Development Manager to guide our team in building world-class web solutions. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll mentor developers, set technical standards, and still contribute code at a high level. If you're passionate about architecting scalable solutions, optimizing performance, and leading with a proactive, problem-solving mindset, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and code reviews to drive technical excellence

• Architect and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance web solutions using WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

• Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and technical guidelines for maintainability and security

• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business needs into technical roadmaps and deliverables

• Oversee hosting and infrastructure (Kinsta, WPEngine, Cloudflare, GoDaddy, SquareSpace) to ensure performance, uptime, and security

• Design, build, and maintain custom WordPress, Shopify, and Webflow websites

• Implement and manage technical and on-page SEO best practices (Core Web Vitals, schema, site speed optimization)

• Troubleshoot complex issues across browsers and devices while staying up to date on emerging web technologies

Nice to Have

• Experience with A/B testing tools (VWO, OptinMonster, UserPilot)

• Exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular)

• Familiarity with headless CMS architectures

• Knowledge of RESTful API design and development

Requirements

• Proven experience Managing and leading a Web Development team or similar leadership role with a track record of delivering successful projects

• Deep expertise in WordPress development and strong command of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)

• Strong understanding of technical SEO and on-page SEO practices

• Experience with hosting platforms, domain management, and web analytics tools (Google Analytics 4, GSC, GTM)

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

• Business level English + a proactive, dynamic, and positive attitude with strong problem-solving abilities

• A strong portfolio showcasing your past web development work

Salary & Benefits

• $5,000-$6,000 USD per month/depending on your location and skills/experience- must be located in Canada
• 15 Days Paid Time Off + Christmas Day + New Year's Day Paid Off
