Opportunity:

We're looking for an experienced and dedicated Maintenance Worker to join our team full time. This role includes managing a variety of maintenance schedules, and general upkeep of the buildings at our farm.

About Dog Tales Rescue & Sanctuary:

Dog Tales is a world-renowned dog rescue and horse sanctuary set on an incredible 50 acres of green fields, rolling hills, and wooded areas in King City, Ontario. Our picturesque location - complete with walking trails, therapy pools, and a grooming spa - is the perfect setting for abused and neglected animals to heal and be rehabilitated while they wait for forever homes. Along with medical care, our team provides all of the love, attention and training that our rescue animals need to recover from their difficult pasts, so that they can move on to permanent, loving homes, which most do. The Role:

  • Routine inspections of buildings and equipment.
  • Performing minor repairs and adjustments.
  • Ensuring general cleanliness and safety.
  • Various tasks, including: changing light bulbs, replacing filters, cleaning floors, lubricating machinery.
  • Responding to basic repair requests to keep facilities and equipment in good working order.
  • Checking on water treatment systems and septic tanks.
  • Scheduling and supervising all 3rd party maintenance.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to varying weather conditions.

What You Bring:

  • Medium to advanced skills of a carpenter, electrician, plumber, mechanic and HVAC technician.
  • 2+ years experience with property or maintenance management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on safety and care.

Salary:

The salary for this position ranges from $60,000 - $80,000 per year.

Schedule:
