Position Overview

We're seeking an experienced French tutor to provide engaging, individualized instruction for students from Grades 1–12. This role is ideal for educators who love helping children gain confidence in a second language and who bring creativity, patience, and flexibility to their teaching.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver personalized 1:1 French tutoring sessions that build vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension, and conversational skills
• Conduct initial, midterm, and end-of-term assessments (templates provided) to measure and celebrate student progress
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet each learner's goals, learning style, and proficiency level
• Collaborate with the team to share insights and align approaches across subjects
• Contribute ideas and energy to The Learning Hive's continued growth and innovation

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching or tutoring French (in school, homeschool, or enrichment settings)
• Strong command of French language, grammar, and pronunciation
• Experience supporting diverse learners and differentiating instruction (preferred)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfort with educational technology or openness to learning new tools (TutorBird, Notion, etc.)
• Flexibility to work in-person and online

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 20 per week

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
