Overview

About the Role

LFL ) is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial reporting, analysis, planning and forecasting across our various retail divisions. This role will play a critical part in driving profitability, improving operational performance, and providing strategic insights to senior leadership. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, business-minded, and experienced in a multi-division or complex retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial analysis and reporting for various distinct retail divisions, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with corporate goals
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans
  • Analyze sales, franchise sales, margin, inventory, labor, and operating expenses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Partner with division leaders to support strategic initiatives, new store openings, promotions, and cost-optimization efforts
  • Prepare various journal entries, including accruals, deferrals, allocations, reclasses, and month-end close adjustments
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial performance reviews for senior management
  • Build and maintain financial models to support scenario analysis and business decisions
  • Improve financial processes, reporting tools, and data integrity across divisions
  • Participate in special projects as required

Requirements

  • Designated accountant
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS including technical accounting and reporting requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of management within the organization
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in the skilled trades industry considered asset
  • Oracle (Fusion) experience is an asset

Compensation: The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $90,000, inclusive of PSP (Profit Sharing Plan).
