Toronto, Ontario, Canada The Mason Group - Strategic Search Partners Full time

Our client is leading global real estate organization backed by one of Canada's largest pension funds. The company oversees a portfolio of office, retail, industrial, and life sciences assets amongst others across global markets. They are in search of a Senior Financial Analyst to join them for a 6-month contract. The role is in office downtown 4 days a week with 1 day work from home.

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting the organization's global management companies, overseeing full‑cycle accounting activities and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This role is responsible for managing the month‑end close process, preparing external financial reports, and maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced, complex environment and brings strong technical expertise along with the ability to collaborate effectively across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full‑cycle accounting for global management entities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month‑end close.
  • Prepare accurate and timely external financial reporting in accordance with regulatory and public company requirements.
  • Support audits and ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to gather information, resolve discrepancies, and support financial analysis.
  • Leverage JDE and HFM systems to maintain data accuracy and streamline reporting processes.
  • Contribute to process improvements and support initiatives that enhance financial operations.

Requirements

  • CPA designation
    (completed).
  • Public company experience
    with strong knowledge of reporting requirements.
  • Real estate industry experience
    .
  • Proficiency with
    JDE
    and
    HFM
    (considered a strong asset).
  • Demonstrated ability to work quickly, accurately, and with sharp attention to detail.
  • Proven adaptability and comfort operating within a
    complex, fast‑moving environment
    .
