Controller

Landmark is currently partnered with a great organization, with long standing roots in North Vancouver, and are looking to add a new Controller to the team.  This is a fantastic role for a CPA with 10-15 years experience in multiple industries, with experience in grants and manufacturing being highly coveted.  This role would need to be hands on and would need someone who can be a strong contributor to operations as well as the accounting. 

Responsibilities include:
• Own the company's full finance function—strategy, reporting, cash flow, budgeting, and controls.


• Lead program and contract finance for NATO and allied naval projects, including pricing, margin analysis, and milestone planning.


• Build robust cost models for engineered-to-order manufacturing, including job costing and program profitability.


• Partner daily with engineers, project managers, and leadership to turn technical plans into financially executable programs. 


• Maintain defense-contracting compliance (DCAA-style practices, documentation, cost tracking).


• Deliver clear, timely financial statements, forecasts, and insights that drive operational decisions.


• Strengthen internal controls, audit readiness, insurance, tax compliance, and risk management.


Skills and Experience:

  • CPA (or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • 7–10+ years of progressive finance experience in engineering, manufacturing, or project-driven businesses.
  • Strength in cost accounting, project accounting, financial modeling, and cash-flow management.
  • Experience with defense, government, aerospace, or regulated-contract environments is an asset.
  • Strong analytical ability, systems thinking, and comfort working with multidisciplinary technical teams.
